Use:
Like pyridine, 2-methylpyridine can form salts with inorganic or organic acids, and addition compounds with inorganic salts and halogenated alkanes, etc. When hydrogenated, α-methylpiperidine or pyridine is obtained, depending on the conditions. When hydrogenated, α-methylpiperidine or pyridine is obtained depending on the conditions.The 2-position methyl group in 2-methylpyridine is reactive, and when oxidized, produces pyridine-2-carboxylic acid (picolinic acid, C5H4NCO2H). Condensation with benzaldehyde in the presence of a dehydrating agent produces benzylidene derivatives. Reacts with paraformaldehyde at 200°C to form 2-(β-hydroxyethyl)pyridine.
1, Used in the production of 2-vinyl pyridine, nitrogen fertilizer synergist (N-Serve), long-acting sulfonamide, antisilicosis drugs, livestock deworming drugs, poultry drugs, organophosphorus antidotes, local anesthetics, laxatives, film sensitizers additives, dyestuffs intermediates and rubber accelerators and so on. Besides being used as solvent, it is also used as raw material of medicine, dyestuff, pesticide, synthetic resin and fertilizer synergist.
2, Used in the preparation of dyes, resins, pesticides, veterinary drugs, rubber accelerator, film photographic additives and so on. In medicine, it is used in the preparation of Sikanyi, paracetamol, dephosphorylation, acetylcysteine and other drugs.
3, Used in the synthesis of drugs, dyes, rubber and other chemicals, also used as a solvent, experimental reagents.
4, Determination of cobalt, cyanate and iron.
Save:
Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat source. The storage temperature should not exceed 37℃. Keep the container sealed. Store separately from oxidizers, acids, etc. Do not mix storage. Use explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities.
